Located on the Malaga highway, some 17 km / 11 miles from the city, Granada Airport (GRX) is a small facility providing air services to the region of Andalusia, with the majority of flights coming in from Barcelona and Madrid. There are no international or European flights to or from Granada Airport.
Many travellers wishing to access the city fly from overseas to larger Spanish airports and then take a connecting flight to Granada. While the airport offers no hotels of its own, there is a range of accommodation in and around the surrounding area.

Many of the best and most popular hotels is Granada are situated in close proximity to the city's acclaimed Alhambra fortress.
